This was by request. With a little more practice I could FC it, but as you see near the end, even on easy parts, a slight mis-aim on the drum pads screws up the combo. I just played this like 6x in a row, and always missing the end of the solo (didn't practice the sticking enough to master that) and always messing up another easy part. This take had the best streak, but not the best score. FC'ing songs is just too stressful! I sped it up at the end so I could fit it into 10 minutes. (I know now that I can go up to just under 11mins, or I can be a "director" to exceed that limit, thanks!) El arsenal comprende 287 granadas, más de 500 mil cartuchos, fusiles Barrett, considerados antiaéreos, y fusiles P-90, cuyos proyectiles son antiblindaje. También pistolas Five Seven calibre 5.7 x 28 milímetros, conocidas como "matapolicías", bañadas en oro y con incrustaciones de piedras preciosas en sus cachas. Redoubt volcano, Alaska - 2009/03/15 ash/steam event (with sound)
The small ash/steam event that made AVO increase the Aviation Alert Level for Redoubt volcano from yellow to orange. Footage is from the Hut webcam, 12 Km South of Redoubt crater, and sound is from seismic data recorded from RSO seismic station (downloaded via VASE 2.8 from IRIS). Playing speed is 160x. The weird sound that can be heard at 00:16 is a calibration signal. Official statement from Alaska Volcano Observatory: "Seismic activity at Redoubt has increased since about 13:00 AKDT and is continuing. An AVO observation flight reported that a steam and ash plume rose as high as 15,000 ft above sea level and produced minor ash fall on the upper south flank of Redoubt. Last reports are that the plume is now mainly steam. Based on thsi change in activity AVO is increasing the level of concern and alert level to ORANGE/WATCH. It does not appear at this time that a significant eruption is likely in the short term, but conditions may evolve rapidly. Wow this song was tough. The "Mosh 1" section is my enemy, also just trying to play accurately through the other parts. Very tough. I knew it'd be hard to 5-star so I made sure to get my first (and possibly last) success on film. So many times I got 226k which is a 2.79x average multiplier!!!! I got over 3.0x this time so it was a good run. The one thing that got me over the hump was turning down the band in sound options. During the mosh I could never grok that fast off-beat mosh snare drum and it sounded like a down beat to me and I'd always screw up Mosh 1 and Verse 1. Even as it is you can see I struggle through Mosh 1. My *attempted* stick pattern for that is RRLLRLRL and it's tricky because each R in RR is hitting a different pad. Same for each L in LL. So RRLL is 4 different pads, so it's really hard to pull off on drums (no pun intended... I wish I could use the "pull off" feature of GH3 like you can with the guitar controller!) A: All "two adjacent note" power chords are mapped to the top 4 pads, so with two hands I can play any 3-note chord except GYO. Q: How do you do whammy and star power? A: I use a bass drum pedal on my right foot to activate star power, and a hi-hat pedal on my left foot to control whammy depth. Q: Why do the notes "hit" so late? A: I use a 145ms setting for the in-game HTDV Lag Calibration feature to counter the "controller lag" I have with my setup. I use it to make the sweet spot of the notes match the sound of the music, not when the notes cross the row of circles. That way, I play what I hear, but I have to read ahead for the notes to play. Q: Are you using the "easy expert" cheat? A: Nope. Listen to the "tap" sounds the drums make. They match in-time to the music and the visible rhythm of the notes on-screen.
