First of all, my deepest apologies for the inexcusable delay. Ive been working 12 hour days, and had barely a day off in months. I meant to get this video out back in early September, but life just got in the way. If I ever decide to stop posting I'll let you know... if I don't post it's simply a time management issue. I totally need an intern! And a sound guy. Sorry the audio sucks. In this vlog I visit the Asakusa Samba Carnival held every year at the end of August. It is a rather peculiar event, but I guess it is not unlike Irish American immigrant celebrations of St. Patrick's day. If I had to compare it to something. You will notice I am particularly hairy in that segment. I was letting myself go for the make over episode of Tokyo Eye I did back in September. The second half I am decidedly less heirsuit, so you might consider it the "after" version of me. But by now my hair is well on it's way back to the old me. POCKET JAPAN #9 : Tokyo, Meiji-Jingu, Harajuku, Shibuya, Cosplay & Yoyogi C'est après un nouveau long silence que ce neuvième épisode voit le jour et est enfin mis en ligne. Il existe un problème de compatibilité entre les Livebox SAGEM et les cartes Airport d'Apple, qui engendre des ruptures de connexion toutes les 15 minutes environ. Ceci rend impossible l'upload pour tout utilisateur qui possède cette configuration. N'appelez surtout pas Orange pour leur en faire part, car le simple fait d'être au courant de l'existence de ce problème vous rend plus compétent que toutes les personnes que vous auriez au bout du fil en composant le 3900 ! Blague à part, voici le descriptif de ce neuvième épisode qui montre particulièrement la collision de plusieurs Japon au coeur même de Tôkyô... Tout commence par la visite du Meiji-Jingû, un imposant sanctuaire se trouvant au milieu du parc que je visitais dans le dernier épisode... Un ingénieur polonais installé à Tôkyô depuis 2 ans me filme tandis que je me purifie les mains et la bouche avant de rentrer dans le lieu saint. A Rome, fais comme les romains ! Mais mon ami des steppes de l'Est a oublié de me dire qu'il ne fallait pas refaire couler l'eau "sale" dans le bac d'où on l'a sortie... Plus tard, il s'improvise guide et me confie que ce sanctuaire, artistiquement parlant, est bien inférieur à ce qu'on peut voir à Kamakura ou Nikkô... J'en aurai le coeur net dans quelques jours ! En sortant du parc, on se retrouve directement dans le quartier de Harajuku, ou frimeurs mineurs et midinettes multicolores forment une foule compacte assoiffée de fringues et accessoires de taille S... Dans Takeshita-Dôri, épicentre du phénomène, seule ma tête dépasse au-dessus de la foule de fashion-victims... J'enchaîne avec une petite balade à Shibuya, aure ville dans la ville et paradis du shopping. Rien de très impressionnant ni insolite, à part peut-être Condomania, la boutique de tous les préservatifs... Et encore, je m'attendais à plus drôle... Demi-tour, et direction le Jingû-Bashi et
