Lead Engineer, Search

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive the design and implementation of services to support video search, recommendations and ad-targeting systems
• Work with analysts and product management on search features and algorithms
• Build and support tools that operationalize the creation, testing and reporting of efficacy of search algorithms
• Work with engineering team on event logging functionality and infrastructure to support search reporting needs
• “Own” - lead and drive - search technologies

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience working on search applications for web search, video search, commerce or other consumer oriented application.
• 5+ years experience leading engineering teams of 5+ people.
• Advanced Java skills required.
• Familiarity with Java search technologies: Lucene, SOLR, nutch, hadoop, etc.., highly desired.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative problem solver with excellent trouble-shooting skills.
