The Finance and Business Analytics team provides the functional areas and executive leadership team with timely unbiased analysis and insights to drive critical business decisions.
The Manager, Finance & Business Analytics will help lead decision support in a challenging, fast paced, technology-driven environment on critical business problems in the dynamic Internet video marketplace. The work will emphasize thought & business leadership, data analysis, business model creation, the application of business knowledge, and the synthesis of information to drive actionable insights. The Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally within the Veoh Networks organization, present to senior leadership and drive projects that impact decision support across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the business in the following financial functions: business analysis and planning, investment analyses, annual planning, revenue and cost forecasting, and product initiative impact in-depth analysis.
- Work closely with the operations and product teams to analyze revenue and cost performance and trends, product initiatives, prospective new deals/expansions, and other business impacts.
- Collaborate with members of other functional teams to develop a shared understanding of operational performance drivers and key metrics through advanced business analyses and methodology development.
- Develop business models to identify and assess business opportunities and enable the development of tactical and strategic plans based on the results of the modeling and analysis.
- Drive the creation of comprehensive business intelligence detailing performance, yearly trends and target comparisons.
- Take a leadership role in creating and driving solutions to key analytical or business challenges.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will be team leaders who are innovative, proven performers with a history of delivering effective decision support through opportunity identification, modeling, analysis and benchmarking.
- Candidates should have strong critical/conceptual thinking skills combined with the ability to synthesize information to see the big picture while effectively managing details.
- They should also be strong project managers with a focus on building high performance relationships and processes to drive complex projects forward.
- They must also be self-starters with excellent communications and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed team environment, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates will have strong quantitative skills and proficiency with MS Office suite of applications in particular Excel. Experience with Access, and Statistical Modeling packages are a plus.
- Other positive attributes would include experience / familiarity with the Internet industry and online business models, as well as experience with product management and development.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive analytical, decision support and leadership experience with a background in financial analysis, modeling and/or operational reporting.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required in mathematics, economics, or a business-related field. MBA strongly preferred, but not required.
