Why is Veoh discontinuing the option for Veoh Pro publishers to charge for their content?
We initially offered this service as a way for publishers to earn revenue from their video content. As online video has developed, paid-content has not become a popular option on Veoh. To enable us to focus our efforts on our core services and develop new services and features for users and publishers, we have decided to discontinue the paid-content program.
When will the paid content program be discontinued?
The paid content program will not be supported after 4/28/2008.
What happens to my paid content videos?
The paid content videos you've uploaded will not be available for viewing or download on Veoh.com after 4/28/2008. If you would like your videos to be converted to free content with no digital rights management applied and made available to any user on Veoh.com, please notify us prior to 4/28/2008.
If no request is made to convert your videos to free, we will remove access to your videos on Veoh.com.
How do I convert my videos to be available free of charge?
You must send us a request to convert your videos to free by 4/28/2008.
To convert your videos to free, send an email request to paidcontent@veoh.com. In the email, please include the following information:
- 'Paid content conversion' in the subject line of the email
- Your full name
- Your Veoh user name
- A request to change your videos to a free status
- A list of the videos you would like converted to free status
Will I receive payment for revenue I earned through the paid content program?
All publishers who earned revenue above the payment threshold will receive payment.
What is the threshold to receive payment?
Any publisher that earned $5.00 or more after the revenue split is calculated will receive a payment check. The revenue split is 70% publisher; 30% Veoh. For example, a publisher who earned a total of $10.00 for their paid content is due 70% of $10.00, or $7.00.
When will I receive my payment check?
You will receive your payment check within 45 days from the date the program is no longer supported (4/28/2008).
What do I have to do to receive my payment check?
If your mailing address is the same as the one provided when you signed up for the paid content program you do not need to do anything. A check will be sent to you within 45 days of program termination.
If you have a different mailing address than the one provided when you signed up for the paid content program you will need to update your address prior to 4/28/2008.
To update your address send an email to paidcontent@veoh.com. In the email, please include the following information:
- 'New mailing address' in the subject line of the email
- Your full name
- Your Veoh user name
- Your updated mailing address

Is anything else changing in the Veoh Pro publisher program?
Veoh Pro members can still take advantage of all the other publishing features Veoh has to offer:
- Automatically syndicate your videos to YouTube, MySpace, and Google Video.
- Receive cross-site reports on the number of views and comments your videos have received across Veoh.com, YouTube, MySpace, and Google Video.
- Deliver the best viewing experience through higher quality video encoding than standard publishers.
- Receive priority when you upload videos. Veoh Pro publishers go to the front of the upload queue.
- Have your videos automatically transcoded so they can be viewed on Veoh.com and on iPods.

When will the option to buy or rent videos be discontinued?
You will no longer be able to rent or buy videos after 4/28/2008.
I purchased videos through the Veoh system. Will I still be able to watch them?
Yes, you will still be able to watch purchased videos even after the program has been discontinued.
In some cases the user license for purchased videos can be deleted or corrupted. In those cases a new license is automatically issued so the user can continue to watch the purchased videos. We will support issuing replacement licenses through 6/30/2008. After that date no replacement licenses will be issued.
