Downloaded Videos
Videos downloaded from Veoh.com are automatically added to the Veoh Web Player library. You can also add other videos that you have downloaded on your computer to the library. To get to the Library on a PC, right-click on the Veoh Web Player icon in your system tray and select View Library. On a Mac, right-click on the VeohWebClient icon and select View Library.
Add videos to your library
You can add videos to your Web Player Beta Library from your computer’s local disk drive or a network drive by clicking the Add Videos button in the Veoh Web Player Beta Library.
Pressing brings up a file select dialog. There you
can choose the video(s) that you want to add to the Library from your
local hard disk or network drive. You can also add videos to your library
by downloading them from Veoh.com or from other video sites using the
Veoh Browser Plug-in.
Manage videos
Video thumbnails in the Library are listed in one of two ways, depending on your preference. Videos can be displayed in a detailed list view or in a table thumbnail view by selecting one of the view options in the Library tab:
Details View. Use the button above to toggle the display between the detailed list view or the table thumbnail view.
Thumbnail View:
There are three buttons next to each video in the library that let you play the video, edit information about it, and locate where it is stored on your PC.
Right-clicking also provides additional options:
• Play
Plays the video
• Edit Video Info…
Lets you change information about the video in your library
• Mark as Unsaved
Saves the video from being automatically deleted when your downloaded videos have exceeded your video storage space settings
• Mark as New
Lets you indicate whether videos in your Library have been viewed
• Find on Veoh.com
Goes to the web page for that video on Veoh.com
• Find on my PC
Opens the directory where the video is located on your PC
• Remove…
Lets you remove the video from your Library
Note: For the menu items Edit Video Info… and Find on my PC, selecting them is the same as clicking on the icon next to the video’s thumbnail:
When selecting Edit Video Info…, you are presented with a dialog to add or change information in the Video Title, Publisher name, and Description fields.
Entering a Video Title does not affect the original file name, and you can adapt the description to easily recognize it. It is your library, so use it as you wish.
You can sort the videos by Title, Publisher, Length, or date Added (when the video was added to the Library). Click on any column label to display the videos in "up" (ascending) order and again to sort in "down" (descending) order:
To find specific videos in your library, search by entering a word or phrase. In the example below, the term "motorcycle" was used to find motorcycle videos:
