Social Determinants of Public Health; Dr. Yasenka Peterson, Dept. of Health, Safety, and Sciences, Indiana State Univ.; Members of different socio-economic groups come to experience varying degrees of health and care. This session will look at key determinants and their implications to health conditions.
Dealing with Difficult People; Ed Turi, EmergeU; In this highly interactive workshop participants will learn how to better communicate, lead, and work for, different and often difficult personality types. You will understand the motivations and fears of the four most common behavior styles and will learn specific techniques for dealing with each of these. You will also learn how to assert yourself, find common ground with others, and resolve potential conflicts early.
