Kungfubob's ignorant assumptions about Northern Irish culture are as racist as the intemperate prejudices of anyone in the militant wing of the Orange movement. American and republican refusal to admit the long-standing presence of British civilization in Ireland contributes a good deal to the heat of Orange determination in asserting their right to decide for themselves the future of their country, romantic republican distortions and assumptions of the rhetorical high ground notwithstanding.
