Greater Gamer Culture is a documentary series that takes an intimate look into the exploding culture surrounding videogames - from the perspective of a gamer. We chose a more free-form documentary format because most coverage of the culture (G4, the G-Hole) comes mainly in a restrictive, overly short News format. That's right, no preppy hosts reading you the news from a studio, no agenda to fulfill, no ad dollars to raise – we cover real events and keep the spotlight on subjects for as long as is necessary – no commercial breaks. As the geek scene continues to expand, we'll be there to showcase the amazing videogame, anime, and con events of our time.
Are you bummed that there’s no new episode this week? Is it agony waiting another week for more of the same amazing content you've come to expect from PBC? Well chill out, bro, we got you covered! PBC Productions introduces Filler Friday. It’s our way of bridging the gap between episodes. Each Friday that a new episode doesn’t air, we’ll slap up something to keep you entertained. It might be outtakes, a deleted scene or two, or something completely off the wall and zany!
The New Adventures of Captain S follows Chad Belmont, an underachieving high school junior obsessed with the Sega Genesis. He has the unique ability to be able to enter his favorite video games and become Captain S, defender of Video Land. His arch-rival, the nefarious NES, uses his arsenal of Nintendo themed accountrements to try and steal Chad's code and wreak havoc in Video Land. Along side Chad are his best friends Becky, a nerdy gamer with a secret crush; and Lunk, a jock with a voracious appetite. The show is a nostalgic mix of early 90s saturday morning TV shows and video games from that era. If you were a child during the Nintendo-Sega wars, then this one's for you!
