In the dead heat of summer, The Salvation Army delivered a breathe of fresh air to hundreds of local residents through its Community Cool Off partnership with Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. Over 1,000 fans and cases of water were distributed at six ares locations...as well as a few air conditioners.
Over 200 members of The Salvation Army's Boys & Girls Clubs attended Minute Maid Park in honor of Salvation Army Night. A few even scored autographed baseballs from relief pitcher LaTroy Hawkins. Thanks for sponsoring our kids.
The Salvation Army partnered with Brookfield Properties to host a month-long public flag signing exhibition in downtown Houston. Each of the five US Military Flags will be delivered to their respective active Armed Forces service members overseas.
They made the four hour trip to Midlothian, Texas near Dallas, and had a blast at the annual summer camp hosted by the Lone Star state division of The Salvation Army.
