  • The Tim Pipher Show was a "Tonight Show -like" interview program with a large studio audience, a band, celebrities flown in from New York and Los Angeles , and on-set interviews from Hollywood. What made this show special was that the celebrities were major soap opera stars! For the production, the producers renovated an old movie theater on Hilton Head Island, SC , and turned it into what was at the time the largest TV studio in the Carolinas, seating over 300. After its broadcast run, videotapes were sold via advertising in Soap Opera Digest. Tim Pipher was the host. Guests included Billy Warlock of General Hospital, Julie Pinson of Port Charles (now of Days of Our Lives), and Lauren Koslow, Victor Alfieri, Bryan Dattilo, and Steve Wilder of Days of Our Lives. In 1999, The Tim Pipher Show had its own booth at NATPE. Tim was interviewed by Dateline NBC (Josh Mankiewicz was the reporter) on their story about the interesting new TV series of the upcoming season.

about me:
Welcome to Tim Pipher's Southeastern Studios in the beautiful Florida coastal city of Vero Beach. We're just an hour from Palm Beach International Airport, 90 minutes from Orlando International Airport, two hours from Miami, and within three hours or less of almost every other city in Florida. It's a great place to surf, stroll the beach, and work on your golf and tennis games! We offer a combination of major league equipment, facilities, and services that make our studio unlike any other in the United States -- possibly even the World. 1. The finest high definition television and movie equipment available -- brand new Sony F900R and Thomson Grass Valley Viper cameras with cine-style high definition lenses, combined with Sony SRW 5500 HDCam SR recording decks. These are the same cameras and recording formats used to create such top grossing movies as Star Wars, Collateral, Prairie Home Companion, and Miami Vice. 2. Our 80 ft. greenscreen cyclorama (40 ft. across the back wall and 20 ft. up the two side walls), combined with our Ultimatte HD chromakeyers, high-end lighting and dimming system, and in-house camera dollies and jibs, allow you to create fabulous television programs and movies entirely from our sound stage. That means that your actors can be in a scene at the beach, climbing a mountain, in a large hotel lobby, in a mansion's living room, in a restaurant, or on another planet, all without ever leaving our studio. This results in staggering time and money savings, and allows for beautiful locations that otherwise would not be feasible. Movies like Sin City, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and 300: March to Glory have used this technique with great effectiveness. But now Southeastern Studios takes this one giant leap further: 3. As advantageous as greenscreen movie and television production have proven to be, up until now there's been one major drawback: after the filming of the actors on the green set, many months are needed to painstakingly add the scene backgrounds that make the actors appear to be in the locations that the movie calls for rather than in the green room in which they were filmed. This process is not only slow, it can cost millions of dollars, sometimes even mitigating the advantages that greenscreen production seems to provide. That's where we come in. Southeastern Studios owns and operates one of the first high definition 3D virtual studio systems in North America, and the only one that is combined with ultra high quality television and movie production equipment. We create the movie background environments in advance, with our machine inserting the actors into the scene live as they perform. When your actors walk off the set, you've got your finished scene. That will save you and your project many months of time and thousands, perhaps even millions, of dollars! 4. Additionally, we offer on-location television and movie production anywhere in North America -- our fleet of luxury motorhomes makes it easy! Your cast and crew will enjoy supreme comfort no matter where your production takes them, and our built-in generators may provide all of your electrical needs. 5. Southeastern Studios will save you a ton of money. Not only will our greenscreen studio capabilities save you a fortune in post production, our equipment and service availability anywhere in North America will save you a bundle. In fact, we'll beat any price quote you've received, any place, any time. Just call us and we'll make it happen, regardless of your budget! Whether you're taking advantage of our feature film production, producing a network quality talk show, soap opera, TV pilot, prime-time drama, or turn-key infomercial, Southeastern Studios will make your project better and faster than you ever dreamed, at a budget you never thought possible.
