The Project (free) youth film course is a unique opportunity for youth to learn every aspect of filmmaking and to produce their own independent work, in a unique studio in downtown Victoria (see "the Project' section). I feel film is a very important thing to teach youth because it gives them a way to have their voice heard, in a world where many youth feel like they have no way to make a difference. That is why film appealed to me so much when I was young. Having one of my first films shown in festivals around the world made me realize that I did in fact have a voice in this world.
