Wrecked, shattered, crippled....Are You Broken Hearted?
Do you feel crippled today by a broken heart? Be encouraged and know that Jesus is the "doctor" that can do surgery to bind up and bandage the broken pieces back together and help you heal again. I know what it feels like to be "crippled" emotionally and spiritually for several years. But, I also know what it feels like to be able to "walk again" ....experiencing the healing that only comes from Jesus. He wants to do the same for you. "He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted." (Isaiah 61:1)
33% of teen girls said "I know that if people saw me before I fixed myself up they wouldn't like me." I have believed this lie before. But, God's truth has now set me free (John 8:32) and I am now taking a stand for true beauty. I don't believe that women should wear no make-up at all, I'm just posing the question....what lies do we believe about how we look and how can we replace it with God's truth?
I had an identity crisis several years ago and wrote this poem as I began to find my true identity as the Daughter of a King....a Princess! Maybe you can relate as well. The entire poem is posted on my website at http://poem.findyourtruebeauty.com.
