Another improvisation, after listening endlessly to Final Fantasy songs. This one has slightly less oomph than the last one, but I still like it since it's cleaner. I brought back the melody from previous songs and the motif from Fire and Ice (a student film for which I composed the soundtrack). I really like how this one came out. For once I'm happy with the direction in which my musicianship is heading. I finally decided to title my improvisations, starting with this one. "Quest for the Truth" somehow fit. I have no idea how to explain, it just fit. Enjoy, GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
Tommy- thank you. I saw Video Games Live (VGL) a week ago and met Tommy Tallarico, creator of VGL, alongside Jason Hayes, Martin Leung, Michael Gluck, and many other amazing and talented people. This inspired me to finish up a project I started a few weeks ago: arranging "Stolen Transport" from Advent Rising for piano solo. It looks like a pain for the fingers, and ... it is. After all, I had to compress 58 instruments and a 60-member choir into two hands. But it's a fun piece... enjoy! Since only Bounty Hunter is available for purchase, I took the liberty of arranging this fun song myself. Download it here: http://music.sebastianwolff.info/#gamesheets Enjoy! And now for something completely different. As much I've always enjoyed jazz, I never got around to learning any. Besides plowing through books and tutorials about jazz theory, tritone blues, boogie woogie basses, and the various scale degrees and their functions (dorian, phrygian, mixolydian, etc)... I just never got a taste. After re-watching The Legend of 1900 (an AMAZING MOVIE, btw), I sat down and played a bit. Here's the collection of mashed chords and notes, endearingly entitled "Faux Jazz." I'll let you figure out the "faux" part... I recorded this about a month ago - again, no video. I only had a microphone on me, and I'm still trying to find a video camera for recording. Piano doodle thing (cc) imoenk on DA: http://imoenk.deviantart.com/art/Piano-76359057 NO sheet music!
