1976 Japanese black-and-white 16 mm documentary film, 91 minutes long, by director Mitsuo Yanagimachi, which follows the exploits of a Japanese biker gang, the Black Emperors. 1970s Japan saw the rise of biker gangs, known as Bōsōzoku, which drew the interest of the media. The movie follows a member ofthe bike gang and his interaction with his parents, after he gets in trouble with the police. The Black Emperor In an interview in 1982 Director Mitsuo Yanagimachi revealed that other than the biker gang of the 1970s, his inspiration behind the film came from a European named David Michael, whom he made friends with when they were both travellers, lost on Papua New Guinea. http://raretreats.livejournal.com/
