Joe Rock is not only known for his songwriting abilities but also for his dynamic live performances. For the better part of two decades, Joe has been writing and performing music all over the United States. Mr. Rock’s eclectic taste and diverse style of music has been heavily influenced by his extensive travels throughout the country. Be it the Mississippi Delta or Chicago's Blues, the Bluegrass of the South and West, the folk music of New England, or the Rock’n’Roll that is omnipresent in this country, Joe has been there and soaked the music into his heart, his mind and his soul. His life's experiences are reflected in his playing style and his voice. Joe is a front man for a Rock’n’Roll and a Blues band as well as a solo acoustic performer. Joe’s live performances include plenty of interaction with the audience and, on some inspired evenings, much audience participation. During his performances he assumes the role of a storyteller, comedian, music fan, songwriter, singer and friend. A Joe Rock show will not only include his varied styles of original music, but also a large array of music from many diverse artists.
F&G Blues Band has something other bands don’t...they have Edlene Hart! Two time Winner of Harlem’s famous Apollo Talent Contest, Edlene has toured the world, performed for the Pope, Tony Bennett, Isaac Hayes and more. To say that her voice can bring the strongest man to his knees is an understatement. Sly Geralds (bass/bandleader/songwriter) has performed with Al Green, Maceo Parker, Slam Allen, & Bill Perry to name a few. Drummer Tom Foschino has performed and recorded with Blues Legend Sam “Bluzman” Taylor for several years before Sam’s passing in 2009. Chuck Russell, one of NY’s tastiest guitarists, brings his own edge to the blues and perfectly rounds out this new found sound known as F&G...some say F&G stands for funk & groove, some use expletives to describe how good this band makes ya feel...but, it means Foschino/Geralds. Suzanne Foschino and Sly Geralds formed this band around the music they’ve written together with the ultimate mission of turning the blues world on it’s ear...mission accomplished.
