  • A wonderful episode from HGTV called "Tasty Treasures" aired on Jun 9, 2008 that highlighted the Museum Hill Bed and Breakfast property in St Joseph, MO. The show focused on the antiques and rare finds the owners found when the property was purchased. A beautiful structure with lovely Italianate architecture and sitting on top of a hill with the best view in the city, overlooking historical St. Joseph. The property is just 35 minutes north of the Kansas City airport and is well worth the trip to visit and stay.

  • St. Joseph, MO, is one of the most historically significant places in the country. It was the last major hub before early settlers headed out to expand West. Enriched with beautiful archetecture, much of the downtown areas buildings and districts are in the National Register of Historic Places. There are distinct museums to visit, all with its unique character. The Pony Express began, Jesse James met his demise, and Lewis and Clark played a significant role here. Relive history, visit St. Joseph.

Looking for a true "one of a kind" getaway destination? Visit St Jo Mo, where the Pony Express began, Jesse James ended, and the West officially became "Wild!" Park the vehicle and stroll through four National Historic Landmark downtown districts. Walk to Wyeth Tootle Mansion/Museum and within 2 miles visit 16 other unique museums like the Pony Express, Jesse James house and the Glore Psychiatric Museum. Savor a picnic lunch on the pristine "Lovers Lane" Parkway. Tour two miles of the original Lewis and Clark trail along the beautiful Missouri river. Make a "Night to Remember" at the Missouri Theatre performing arts events. Enjoy annual festivals such as "Trails West," the biggest in the region. Overlook architectural "wonders" on the wraparound porch with a glass of wine. Only 35 minutes north of Kansas City!
