This feature length documentary gives voice and presence to children whose lives are powerfully impacted by parental incarceration. Our subjects tell their stories in their own words. Interviews are combined with footage of their home, play and educational environments. We meet their caretakers, advocates, and potential adversaries. This footage,combined with stills, newspaper clippings,glimpses of childcare and detention facilities creates a vivid and moving viewing experience. We believe that our documentary will inform and motivate viewers. Statistics state that one in ten will be jailed before adulthood. We intend to use the power of storytelling and the impact of film to change in this outcome.
