This film shows though what undeveloped land and empty lots are, can be and should be: free zones. Barren land represents a chance. This film shows why property managers often don't want free citizens to gain a foothold on unused properties - bureaucrats fear a loss of power and control. Immer öfter entstehen in unseren Städten Leerstand und schließlich Leerräume. Verwaltungen sehen darin ein Problem und baut drum herum erst einmal einen Zaun. Dieser Film zeigt aber, dass unbebaute Orte und leere Flächen vor allem eins sein können und sollten: Freiräume. Denn die Brache birgt eine Chance. Der Film zeigt auch warum Verwaltungen oft nicht wollen, dass die freien Bürger im freien Raum walten, die Bürokraten fürchten den Verlust ihrer Kontrollmacht.
