This channel displays the videos I produced in conjunction with Dr. Serbino Sandifer-Waker of Texas Southern University. Her goal was to bring light to the rarely discussed civil rights movement of Houston, Texas. This project was funded by the National Black Programming Consortium and is a part of their Eyes on the Prize, Black College New Media Project.

This series is a downscaled version of the DVD, produced in December 2006 for the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Experience by Ted Irving of Hightower High School in June of 2006. The pieces are highlights of the awesome trip to Japan to study the culture, people, educational system and government of Japan. Host city Kesennuma of the Miyagi Prefecture is also highlighted. Each piece was written by my students of the Hightower High School Electronic Media Academy. They also performed as the on-camera and voice talent for all pieces except the first, entitled, "The Experience." So watch that version first then check out the rest. Enjoy!
