Kaname Okiura, a student of Prefectoral Umineko Shougyou High ("Umisho" for short), joined the school's swimming club in order to learn how to swim, but the club is filled with weirdos, let alone teaches him swimming. Then, a sunny, happy-go-lucky girl named Amuro Ninagawa who was transferred from Okinawa joined the club. Shungo is a normal high school student living in a huge house. One day, his sister Ryoko sends Mayu and Mikihiro Tsukimura, two siblings, to live with him to help Mayu overcome her problem. Mayu's problem: androphobia , and Ryoko wants Shungo to help her overcome. How By making Mayu and Shungo share the same room, bed, and even take baths together. To make things even worse, Reika Hojo, the student-council chair, somehow ends up becoming their maid.
The protagonist is the virgin albino woman Saiki Misaki holding down two jobs, neither of which she is particularly happy with, one as a dominatrix in a BDSM club and writer of a column for a sex magazine and the other as a civil servant in the employ of The Livelihood Preservation Group as a necromancer able to percieve and to communicate with ghosts, sometimes allowing them to speak through her with the living. Her government job usually entails exorcisism. Misaki considers her shamanic civil service position even less respectable than her sex work.
After fighting in numerous interstellar wars, mankind forms the Galactic Union to bring stability and to prevent conflicts between different planets. However, disputes between members of the union itself persists. In the Star Century year 0165, the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs (GOTT) was formed. This organization utilizes the superpowered ES taskforce to maintain order. Eclair and Lumiere are two low-ranking ES members who carry out missions for GOTT. However, as they begin to see more and more of the galaxy, they soon realize that what they know about GOTT, the Galactic Union, and even themselves might not be all there is to it...
