- Charlie Osgood, a young businessman, is discovered working on the company books at five o'clock in the morning by his partner, Eddie Turtin. Although Charlie claims that he came to the office because he couldn't sleep, Eddie accuses him of stealing company funds. When Charlie denies the charge, Eddie produces proof from a detective agency which he hired to investigate his partner. Eddie knows that Charlie has taken close to a hundred thousand dollars in company funds...and that he has spent all but sixty thousand of that amount.
