- So a lifetime ago in the early 80's I was starting to experiment with shooting and directing, I was in film school, the equipment was crude and at the time I was obsessed with science fiction and film noir. Obviously, seeing Blade Runner really made an impression on me. (it is now considered a classic it was not at the time) I found this tape in my garage some 20 years later and got an old 3/4 inch deck working to play it. For the first time in all those years I saw the early Tom as Ric Schaeffer and my very talented friends who, like me, shot when they weren't in it with me and just knew what we were looking for. When years later we moved to Hollywood Lee moved with me and Jon went to NY. I had edited this as a film student in 1987 and with them done everything on the film.
