The story takes place in a fictional art college that is based on Musashino Art University, Kodaira-shi, Tokyo, in which SPITZ vocalist Masamune Kusano was also once a student. Both the anime and the manga feature ferris wheels prominently. All the wheels featured in this anime exist in reality. Episode 3 featured the wheel in Izu Bio Park, Higashiizu city. Episode 10 featured the Great Ferris Wheel of Diamonds and Flowers in Kasai Rinkai Park, Edogawa, Tokyo, and Episode 19 had Cosmo Clock 21 in Yokohama Cosmo World, Yokohama city.
