Baby Western Gulls in the Pelican Aviary

July 22, 2008: Several people asked me to post a video showing more of the baby gulls. So here it is. Some of them are so young, they still have their down. The birds at IBRRC are injured or abandoned chicks or very thin. It's "starving baby chick" season, and we've picked up many babies who are very underweight and/or have been orphaned. We've also picked up eggs from abandoned nests. All will be released when they are grown, can fly, and are healthy. http://www.ibrrc.org/
