I spent the day at one of Toyko's biggest and most famous festivals, the Sanja Matsuri. Over the three days about 1 million people visit. The main purpose of the festival is the procession of three portable shrines (mikoshi) around the neighborhood blessing the local citizens... and getting really drunk. It was a good time as festivals usually are. If there was a theme of the day it was "guzen" which in Japanese means "by chance." I ran into several people I knew who also were there checking out the festival. It was a good time! The cafe I visited in the video is a cool place and gaijin friendly. Check it out if you are ever in Asakusa. http://www.cuzn.jp/aunty_j.html Music: Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas Fantasista - Dragon Ash Electric Avenue - Eddy Grant
