Variety Club Annual ShowBiz Awards 08 - Arrivals

London: 16 November 2008 A short trip up the West End tonight for the red-carpet arrivals at the Variety awards. I arrived early as its out of station but not a soul was about. Rather than traipse around in the rain I treated myself to a little bit of luxury by having a light lunch and a cuppa while browsing the newspapers beside a comforting autumn fire in the reception of the Grosvenor House Hotel, venue for this annual event. I spotted Joanna Lumley as I relaxed. Then it was out into the cold to wait for the stars to show.
