Individuals who are employed doing medical coding for clinics, physicians offices, and hospital emergency rooms. Usually these are referred to as “Outpatient Medical Coders”. 2. Individuals who are employed doing medical coding in large hospitals. These people are usually referred to as “Inpatient Medical Coders”.
