I loved that curtain. It wasn’t shiny, but that gold carpet color…. the wave of the 70’s. Trinkets and charms hung by safety pin hangers like candy in a store, or dolls in a catalogue. We could look, but not touch, so I stood there, and waited. My grandma would take something down, tell us what it was and where it was from, and then pin it back up. I dreamed how I’d have one some day, a curtain like this, with it’s off limit treasures. It was certainly a highlight of my summer vacation.
