Ares I-X Re-entry and Splashdown

Aerial observers recorded the ascent, separation, and re-entry of the Ares I-X flight test vehicle during its launch on October 28, 2009. Once splashdown occurred, the booster was retrieved by a NASA dive team aboard the recovery ship Freedom Star, and then towed back to Kennedy Space Center for analysis.
