Kodi is a 1 yr old purebred Australian Cattle Dog available for adoption through ACD Rescue of Illinois. Kodi has been fostered with us and training disc for only 6 days - he is making amazing progress! On Monday, he had no idea what to do with a frisbee other than chase it down, and now he has a 90% catch rate at 20 yards, flips, does leg overs, passes, and just learned a leg vault - in 4 tries. Kodi is NOT a beginner's dog. This dog was purchased by his original owners from Petland; they knew nothing about heelers and basically let him get away with murder. He is a young pushy male dog who needs a consistent handler who will set boundaries and rules for him. Kodi is good with other dogs, but can begin to guard resources (specifically toys and food), he has also demonstrated some crate aggression toward other dogs. Other than that he has a stellar personality and is very outgoing and friendly to all humans. His focus when working is through the roof. He has insane tug drive and nice food drive - introduced to the clicker, eye contact, sit, spins, etc. For more info contact me privately!
