Ajahn Thoy applies the "Gao Yod" tattoo to the back of a recipient. Gao Yod means "9 peaks" and is representative of Mount Meru. Mount Meru is a sacred mountain in Buddhist cosmology considered to be the center of all physical and spiritual universes
